This fan fiction tells the story from 3 friends living in the city of Thor in 2190 of the aselian calendar (Tales of Phantasia). It also contains explanations for all the undefined elements in both games Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia. My fan fiction based on the speculation that Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Phantasia play in one and the same world, but in different time periods.

2190 A.D. The kingdom of Thor reached the height of their culture and sciences. Magi technology as well as the magic himself and many other non-magic technologies had developed on a very high state and the living standard allows humans to age even over 120 years.

Raik: Yo Jameu, are you finally come out!?

A person comes out from a building with an automatically open door device. Jameu now stand beside Raik.

Jameu: We meet Chihao at the cafe ''to the stars'' right?

Raik: Right, and the meeting time is at 14.45 p.m. And are you know how time is it?

Jameu: Uhm.....

Raik: 14.35 p.m.! Come on and get hurry or we'll come late.

Both Jameu and Raik run to the cafe as berserks.

/Jameu Aurias is a 16-years old swordfighter, but he can't call by that so easily. He trains with his sword rarely, because there are no monsters on the continent of Thor. He only uses his sword for the own enjoyment. But even if he lives in a world where fighting is absolutely not necessary, he has an incredible talent for sword fighting. His hobby is researching from various cultures, so he plans to leave Thor and travel around the world.

/Raik Ozomdor is a 17-years old spear fighter, but he only uses his spear for her own enjoyment, and he is very talented too. He is Jameu's best friend, knowing him since middle school. His hobby is history, so he plans to become an archaeologist.

After 14 minutes: Jameu and Raik finally reach the cafe ''to the stars'' and sit down to a desk with 2 chairs. Then a girl appears.

/Chihao Magoh is a 15-years old girl which works as s scholar by a professor of the holy magic's. She knows Jameu and Raik since middle school. She's always in a good temper, but when something fearsome appears in from of her, she doesn't move an inch and is paralyzed.

Chihao: Hello there! I didn't imagine that you both did id in time, because you're always too late on meetings. I'm really surprised after all.

Raik: I was punctual, but Mr. sleeping pill really did it to be late. I was waiting for 12 Minutes before he came out of his house.

Jameu: He, It REALLY wasn't my fault this time, ok? I couldn't find my moneybag.

Raik: Moneybag? Why on the heck you're coming too late because of searching a moneybag which is as big as a head?

Jameu: Well....you know that my family currently do spring-cleaning, right?

Mayhem, told the following to that project: "Time travels are, of course, very dangerous and every staff member on the research institute knows that. But even if we can successful build a usable time machine, we will NEVER use it for big time leaps! We only plan to travel for minutes to test it, nothing more and nothing left. Manipulations on time are a very dangerous and seriously subject that shows us countless number of fairy tales, fantasy- and science-fiction romans and legends. Our only target is only to master this technology, not to use it. It's the same with our developed man cannon-technology: By using them, it would waste way too much mana, but we've never use it, we only have developed it so that we can tell that the human race has learned and mastered this technology."


-The comet called Samier, which was located by the long-range radar from the research institute of Thor, will NOT collide with Aselia. The comet was discovered 2 months ago. After the supercomputer from the research institute has finished his calculations, only the tail of the comet will strip the planet barely, the comet himself amiss the planet. Before the supercomputer's report was finished, there was a press conference with the discussion theme 'what happen when the comet collide this planet, or even the city of Thor himself'

Jameu: Great, just very great...a comet amiss us BARELY. Holy geez, I hope that the supercomputer doesn't have made any mistake by his calculations.

Raik: Why are you always turn into a computer racist when we talk about computers, huh?

Jameu: Well..... I've tried an oracle automat on the yearly fair. Chihao: But it is our current culture, too. In our childhood, we've learned to do nothing evil in this world, to be honest and not to harm to each other. When these standard conditions are fulfilled, we can do everything we want, and...Well, we actually CAN do everything we want. We have a great society^^.

Raik: Yes, indeed. Such things like using weapons for our own enjoyment and without anyone things that we could do something dangerous with that. The life couldn't be better.

Chihao: Jup, that's true.

Raik: But this time machine it was talking about on the news is very interesting for me. I mean, we could, for example, travel 1000 years before to see how the city of Thor looks on that time.

Chihao: But time travels are FORBIDDEN! Remember on our society's most important rule: Do not anything what could menace the harmonic cooperation of our society in any way!

The Bugbear jump to Jameu and try to hit him with his cudgel, but Jameu take his sword in his hands and parry the cudgel.

Jameu (on his minds): Great, just great. This is a real monster in front of me. What shall I do now, shall I kill it or maybe....man, what on hell I'm thinking, it's a god damn monster, I HAVE to kill it!

Jameu run to the monster hit it with a deadly trust. The monster falls to the ground.

Jameu: Phew, this is the first time that I kill a creature by myself.....well, as long as it will be the only time I did this, it doesn't care me.

Woman: AAAAAHHHHHH!

Jameu: What was that?

Jameu run towards the scream. After a minute, he arrive a scene that he can't believe that they happen before his eyes, but it's true: monster run wild and attack everyone who get in their ways. Houses are on fire and both humans and monsters procumbent at the ground - bloody and dead.

Jameu: This monsters.......*He take his sword hasty in his hands and hold it tightly* THEY WANNA PAY FOR THIS!

Jameu run straight ahead and kill every monster with deadly slashes and trusts. He going berserk until a tiger-looking monster appears towards him. He is puffed and enervated from his berserk tour, so he can't attack the monster immediately. The monster run to Jameu and want to attack him, bat then a spear hit the monster from the side, and the monster fall to the ground.

Jameu: I'm glad to see you Raik. Do you know what on hell is going on here?

Raik: I don't know it too, but it seems that these monsters appear in the whole city, not only in this district. Every club member from the gladiator's club fight against these monsters already....but we can't reduce the number of victims so easily......

Jameu: Damn it! Why appear monsters in this city anyway? I though that there is a strong energy barrier that surrounded the whole city, protecting from every danger from outside. How could these monsters break this shield?

Raik: Well, maybe these monsters are summoned from inside the city?

Jameu: What?

Raik: That is the only possibility, someone must help this monsters.

Jameu: But...but which person would do that? I mean we live in a society where doesn't exist criminality - besides only a one pick pocketing per year. And something like psycho killers doesn't exist since 100 years. It's a real utopia here, so where on the heck could do such a...silly thing, huh?

Woman: AAAAAHHHHH!

Jameu and Raik simultaneously: What was that?

Jameu: This voice....t...that is Chihao!

Raik: What you say? By speaking from it....you're right! Damn, get hurry!

Jameu: Jeah.

Both Jameu and Raik run towards where Chihao's scream comes from. When they arrive, they see a Goblin-like monster, which is as high as two persons together. The monster holds Chihao with his hand. Chihao herself is paralyzed because of the monster, she don't move an inch.

Raik: Dammit! Let her go you Monster!

Both Jameu and Raik run to the monster. Raik try to pierce the monster with his spear, but the monster hold the spear immediately and throw both the spear and Raik away.

Jameu: Hyaa!

Jameu is now behind the monster and hit it with a trust on its bag. The monster turns around and hit Jameu with his fist.

Raik: Take that!

Raik stand on his feeds again and hit the monster on his bag with a deadly trust on his bag. The monster is dead now and falls to the ground.

Raik: Chihao! *he runs to Chihao and release her from the monsters hand* Are you alright?

Chihao: Uhm...yeas, I'm fine now, thanks Raik *she stands up*.

Jameu: Dammit! When I only know where these monsters are come from, I would...

Chihao: I guess I know there the monsters are come from.

Raik: Really?

Chihao: Yes. I met professor Mayhem from the research institute a moment ago. He was hurt and told me that the person who is responsible for the monster is inside the research institute. After that, he falls to the ground. I wanted to heal him with my holy magic skills, but then this monster grab me and I was so scared.......

Raik: What? Wait Jameu! First, we should mobilize reinforcements, shall we? I mean when this person really can summon monsters, I don't think that we can beat him. So we...

Raik take his spear and break the door with it. Jameu take the paralyzed Chihao in his arms and run into the halls. They run towards several rooms until they stop. Jameu and Raik rest a bit, and Chihao awake from her paralysis.

Chihao: Huh? It's over? *she looks to Jameu and Raik and remember that both had argued about nonsense during the monster appear at the square* Jameu, Raik, stand up, now!

Both stand up and ask: What is it?

After Jameu and Raik recovered their strength (Chihao doesn't heal their after all XD) they all walk towards the research institute building.

Jameu: Have someone from you a clue where we should search in this big building?

Raik: I would recommend checking the crystallum.

Chihao: The what?

Raik: The crystallum. That's the room where all the crystals from the research institute are stored. Maybe someone summon the monsters with the magic source of the crystals.

Jameu: Alright, let us go.

After 6 Minutes: All 3 are now standing into the crystallum, a room full of blue shining crystals. In the middle of the room, there stands a big blue shining crystal, and in from of this crystal, a person with a black robe, a black cape, a black pointed Hat and black shoes. He holds a staff with a transparent glass sphere at the top of the staff on his right hand.

Jameu: Who are you?

Raik: Just wait a minute Jameu *he analyzes the person's clothes. Then the person turns around so that the 3 can see the person's face* oh my...that is Minas Indigo!

Jameu: Minas who?

Raik: You don't know him? His family has founded the minas guild 2000 years before. This guild was the forerunner for this research institute. This person is also the most powerful mage alive. Have you really don't hear about him or his family?

Jameu: We did it! This nightmare is finally over.

Raik: Yeah....finally, we are saved.

Chihao: AAAAHHHHH!

Both Jameu and Raik turn around, but they can't see neither Chihao nor Minas. They run and follow Chihao's screams. After a minute, they stand on a room with a holographic construction of the solar system. Chihao procumbent at the ground and Minas stand a few steps from her.

Raik: What does this mean Minas?

Minas: My congratulations, inhabitants of Thor. You've acted very well for a society that doesn't know such things like wars or monsters. And don't worry because of your girlfriend: She is only unconscious. I only want that she scream so that you guys follow me to that place.

Jameu: You're the person who'd summon the monsters, right?

Minas: Yes, it was me. But do not think wrong about me, I only want to reestablish the old world order.

Jameu: What are you mean with ''world order''?

Minas Look at this! The comet Samier, I've waiting for such an opportunity for a very long time. With this comet, everything will be fixed as it has to be in the first place.

Minas disappear into a bright light. After his disappearing, Chihao wake up.

Chihao: Yeah, I guess *stand up* what exactly happened when I was unconscious?

Jameu: Minas has doomed this city....

Chihao: What!?

Jameu: When he has said the truth, then the comet Samier fall directly to this continent, and we can nothing to stop it.

Raik: No, that's wrong. We can do something against that.

Jameu and Chihao: ?

Raik: Have you both forgotten the time machine? We can use it to travel to the day before. So we can stop Minas by warning the inhabitants.

Raik: It is the only chance we have.

Jameu and Chihao follow Raik. After 2 Minutes, they arrive a room with a teleporter device.

Raik stands in front of a console and activate the computer system. Then, a uncaring and monotonic voice tell something.

Then, a big holographic head appear.

OZ: Confirming voice ID...Time Rift Driver operational...

OZ: Welcome the Central Processing. I am OZ, the mother computer. Boosting power level...

OZ: ........

OZ: Please enter time and location destinations.

Raik: We need to go 1 day into the past...December 1, into the lumber-room of the gladiator's club.

Jameu and Chihao: -.-

Raik: What? On this place, no one will be there, so we can stop Minas without warning him instead of when we appear directly before him, right?

Jameu run towards the scream discover a monster. This monster holds a woman with his hands. Two men procumbent at the ground, unconscious, and the third men use his sword as a stilt - Game Over.

Jameu: I think I have a deja vu....a woman, kidnapped by a monster, and their friends try to rescue her - but with no success. Well, then I'll help the lady *he take his sword with his hands and run to towards the monster*

Jameu hit the Monster at the bag. The man which is not unconscious hit the monster with his sword and finally kills the monster. It opens his hand and fall to the ground.

Person: *go to the woman* Good, she's not hurt *turn around to Jameu* what's your name?

Jameu: My name is Jameu, and yours?

Now back to Raik: Raik walk along grassland.

Raik: Why I'm alone here? Was it because of these short circuits? Yeah, that's it....we are teleported, but not to the same place. So the only thing I must do is to find Jameu and Chihao, but where shall I begin to search?

Raik: What the....that doesn't sounds like Chihao *sigh*....!?Wait a second, someone's screaming? I must help them!

Raik run towards where the scream came and find a group composed of 2 men and a woman which is currently attacking by 3 demon-like persons with a horsewhip as a weapon (there are Demon Lords). One of these demon lords want to attack the woman with his horsewhip, but Raik can parry the attack, even if it was very close.

Demon Lord: How dare you? Take that! *he attacks again, but Raik evade the attack and pierce the demon lord with his spear.*

Raik: Take that! Double Demon Fang! *a singe Demon Fang hit the demon lords and are defeated now* Phew...that was close.

Person: You fight very good, spear fighter. How's you name?

Raik: Raik Ozomdor, and yours?

Now back to Chihao: she procumbent at the ground, unconscious, but now she wake up.

Chihao: My head....hm? Where am I? Oh, right, the time teleporter.....Rail, Jameu? *she look around, but she can't find them* oh no, where are they? And what is THIS place?

This place is, indeed, very strange: The sky is dark red instead of blue and the ground is only rocky, there is no grass, no trees, no spoon, nothing expects stones and rocks. She walks a while, but then she discovers some people. She go to this people and say:

Person: My name is Miguel Alvein the woman here is called Meryl. And the orange wearing person is called Edward D. Morrison.

Raik: Well, nice to meet you.

Chihao can now see that these persons are look like demon lords.

Chihao: AAAHHHH! Monsters!

Demon Lords: AAAHHHH! A sacred one! Run away!

The demon lords run away from Chihao very fast.

Chihao: What the...o.O?
